Angell Town estate in Brixton has been in the news this week following a series of essays written by Evening Standard writer David Cohen.

It’s been a pretty brutal account to read to be honest, all gathered in a very short period of time.

Contrasting the piece penned by a professional Standard writer with the free flowing recording by a resident who has lived in the area for almost 40 years is perhaps more rewarding.

Mitchell can be heard over here in conversation with Daniel Ruiz Tizon, another local lad who has spent his life living mainly around Clapham North and Stockwell.
