Available 'celebrates' its eighth birthday tomorrow

While Daniel Ruiz Tizon is Available isn’t the first podcast I did, nor even the second, come to think of it, it wasn’t even my third, it is the show I stuck with. I’d lost a home, an ex, and in podcasting terms, the biggest blow of all, I’d lost my co-presenter. Still, being the dogged type, I never quite quit with the podcasting. On the 2nd November 2012, holed up in a box room in the London borough of Merton, ironic, given the show’s long-standing refusal to acknowledge that particular borough, I recorded Ep 1 of Available. Just three months later, the podcast had been named Podcast of the Week by the UK’s biggest comedy website. Admittedly this is in the days long before 95% of the UK were podcasting.

Tomorrow, the show marks its eighth birthday with Ep 284, while its 300th episode will be comfortably reached before Christmas. No mean achievement for a show I was certain I’d retired after its 200th episode. To mark this milestone, I thought I’d put together a very simple competition.

To win yesterday’s Patreon bonus episode 283, just answer the following question:

Which London radio station did the podcast air on live every Monday night between 2014 and ‘15?

Email your answer to drtavailable

The first ten* correct entries will get Ep 283 wetransferred to them. Please note, the wetransfer links automatically expire within 7 days. I have no say in that.

I’d like to also take a moment to thank everyone who’s ever supported the show in any way, whether through reviews, donations, or through the Patreon page launched late last year.
